I know you haven’t heard from me for about a month and a half, but I haven’t disappeared, honest! This post is just to wish you all a very happy new year and reflect on the goals I set for myself this time last year when I started my blog! One year today everyone!

 I can’t actually believe I’ve only been doing this for a year, it feels like blogging has been a part of my life for much longer than that! In any case I’m really pleased that I started this silly little blog and that some people have actually enjoyed reading it. I hope for more of the same in the new year.

2014 was full of twists and turns for me and I’m the sort of person who finds it easy to put a negative spin on things, but it was a really good year for me on the whole. I performed in the Leicester Comedy Festival as well as in two plays, one of which I was able  to perform in an RSC venue in Stratford. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Politics and I got myself a job in the big bad world.

This time last year I set four main goals: 

• Look and feel healthier
• Graduate from University with a 2:1 1st
• Get a grown up job!
• Go on holiday

Three out of four isn’t bad. Unfortunately I didn’t go on holiday in 2014, but I’m definitely making it goal again this year. Other successful mini goals included: get a first in my dissertation, take my Mumma to the Harry Potter Studios, blog and tweet, try a tea detox and hoard less.

Things I’m hoping to do in the New Year include: go on holiday, donate blood, prepare for a charity run in 2016, reconnect with some old friends and start doing pilates. I don’t know how they’ll go but I’m going to give them a try.

As for the blog, I should be back to blogging twice a week from now on, it’s just been the new job and Christmas busy times keeping me away but I’m really excited to get back to it!
