Another little LUSH review for you. This time I tried the Mint Julips Lip Scrub and the Dragon’s Egg Bath Bomb.
MINT JULIPS has a a 4.7 average rating on the LUSH website and is supposed to “scrub and soften” your lips. In my opinion this absolutely does what it says on the tin. I love it so much that I’ve already bought one for my mum and my boyfriend (can’t get a better review than that in my opinion). It gets rid of all the nasty dead skin on my constantly chapped lips and scrubs them up nicely. They feel softer and healthier immediately after use, perfect for use before lipstick application or just as part of my bedtime beauty routine. Not only that but this scrub tastes and smells absolutely amazing which is a complete bonus. This is absolutely one of my favourite discoveries of 2014.
DRAGON’S EGG has a 4.4 average rating on the LUSH website and with it you’re supposed to “feel ready to soar”. This was a bit of an impulse buy from LUSH because I was heading home for the weekend and my parents have a bath (hooray! I only have a shower in my uni home) so I knew I wanted to have a bit of a pamper. I picked up this bomb for the smell, it’s fresh and very citrus smelling and I generally tend to go for those sorts of scents over the sickly sweet ones. I enjoyed the little petals and the popping candy and had one of the most relaxing afternoons I’ve experienced in a long time because of this product. I have to admit however, the only thing I didn’t like about it was the colour. As pictured above, the bomb turned my bath water a golden orangey colour and although that should probably be expected with a citrus smelling product, there was just something about it that for me was a little dirty looking and off putting. That being said, I really liked the product and if the only flaw I can find with it is the colour then I’d say that’s another job well done by LUSH.
