So I saw the #missguidedmani food inspired competition pop up on twitter and I got a bit inspired. I am by no means a nail artist and these were really just for fun, but I thought I’d share them with you guys!
| FOOD INSPIRED CUPCAKE AND STRAWBERRY NAILS…

I’ve shown a little work in progress image of the cupcake design above, just so you can see what steps I did it in. I painted the entire nail using Barry M Gelly Nail Effects in gnp19 Huckleberry. I then painted the top half of the nail using Tanya Burr Nail Polish in Mini Marshmallows. Using my nail art brush I drew on the stripes of the cupcake base with the P.S. Love Beauty Polish and then popped on the head of the cupcake using the P.S. Love Beauty Nail Art Pen. Finally I finished off my little cake with a dot of ORLY Polish in Haute Red.
The Strawberry nails were a wee bit more simple. I used the ORLY Polish in Haute Red for the base coloured and using my nail art brushed painted on leaves at the bottom of the nail using Topshop Nail Polish in 103 Jewel in the Crown as a base and then covering this with Zoya Tangy. Finally I added the white spots with my Ciate Snow Virgin Polish.
And that’s it for my super simple food inspired cupcake and strawberry nails!
