Just wanted to share with you a couple of the nail polish products I picked up from Primark recently. I’ve been super impressed with their £1 bargains including their polish, nail art pens and best of all their polish remover twist pot!
PRIMARK NAIL POLISH… |
The first picture above is just showing you the polishes I used to create the first nail look at the head of this post. A simple base coat with different splodges of colour from those nail arts pens, this is the most simple design and I got a ridiculous amount of compliments on it. I think the colours look great together and I was really pleased with how it turned out.
The nail polishes themselves are really opaque with just one coat and I’ve found them not to chip for a good four days without a top coat so that is very impressive, particularly for the price point. The range of colours is beautiful, they have a lovely cobalt blue I want to try as well as a pretty coral colour that I think will be great for summer. I picked up the pink because I knew I would wear it a lot and decided to try the mint green and the grey because they were shades I wasn’t sure about, wanted to try but didn’t want to spend a fortune doing so. This was such a happy medium! I love them all.
The nail art pens aren’t really as advertised. Though the polish is nicely pigmented, the brushes are far too thick to be described as a pen and you really wouldn’t be able to do any precision detailing with these. They are okay for the price but I definitely wouldn’t recommend these and won’t be repurchasing them.
My absolute gem of the Primark nail polish collection is the Nail Polish Twist Pot Instant Removal. Now I might be amazed by this purely because I’ve never tried one before but this has just made life so much easier. I’ve inserted a before and after picture below but this pot took away all my messy hassles of taking off my nail polish. Usually it gets all over my fingers with tons of polish left around the edges but this remover literally took about ten seconds per finger and all my polish was gone. I adore this product and while it probably isn’t great for the health of your nails, it’s worth it for the results (you can always pop a strengthening base coat on after and you’ll never tell the difference!)
