LUSH The Olive Branch and Rub Rub Rub Review

lush review

Another little LUSH review for you (I seem  to do these every once in a while but I really have been enjoying LUSH products). This time I tried The Olive Branch Shower Gel and the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub.

LOOKING LUSH…

THE OLIVE BRANCH has a a 4.4 out of 5 average rating on the LUSH website and is supposed to leave you with “peaceful skin”. I would have to say that it does just that. First of all let me just say that this shower gel seems unlike any other bath product I’ve ever used. It’s really pungent but it feels natural and fresh, I love the lasting power of the scent on my skin as well. I’d describe it as a super slick kind of a product and it really glides over the skin and leaves it feeling super smooth. It works well with a scrunchy or you can lather it straight onto your body. A lot of reviews talk about its watery consistency and while this is true to a point, you really need to be using the product to its full potential (lathering it up) and in doing so this little bottle has actually lasted me quite a long time. It separates so you have to shake it up before use but once you’ve done that it really is a great, unique product.

RUB RUB RUB  has a 4.7 out of 5 average rating on the LUSH website and leaves you feeling “freshly scrubbed”.  Oh my goodness, this is probably my all time favourite LUSH product, certainly my favourite exfoliator. I have quite sensitive skin and while this does feel quite abrasive it definitely doesn’t feel damaging and I haven’t experienced any negative effects from using it. If I use this on my legs before shaving they are smoother than I have felt them since I was a child, honestly. This product is heaven and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s reasonably priced, it lasts a long time and it does a brilliant job of making my skin feel smooth and refreshed. I know I’ll be repurchasing this time and time again. /gushing

Hope you enjoyed my reviews, let me know your favourite LUSH products!

Rub rub rub is my favourite scrub ever! Makes my skin so smooth and smells amazing. Apparently you can use it on dry skin for a more abrasive scrub but my skin is so sensitive I’ve never tried it.

I have never tried Rub Rub Rub, but it looks amazing! Looks like i’m going to be making a cheeky purchase soon – any excuse to go to Lush!

    • I actually asked the shop assistant what her favourite product was and she pointed it out to me and tried a little on my hand. I’d never have thought to try it before that. And I know how you feel. I cannot walk by a Lush without going in and all the great reviews are such a bad influence on my bank balance! xx

  8. Love LUSH. Sadly I live no where near one now. I remember discovering them over ten years ago in London…I was hooked. The Olive Branch is divine and now with Fall/Autumn around the corner it is an appropriate scent for the season. I’ve actually never tried Rub, Rub, Rub. 🙂
